Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.

IES is one of Sweden's largest school groups at compulsory school level with 48 schools and around 32,000 students across the country. IES has grown steadily and maintained quality since 1993.

Internationella Engelska Skolan Växjö is a F-9 school with an associated after-school program. Our school is growing, and for the school year 25/26 we have about 300 students. The school opened in August 2022.

IES Växjö is a bilingual school. Therefore, you need to be able to communicate with colleagues, students, and their families in both Swedish and English, including in writing.

As an employee with us, you will be part of a team where you work together to drive and develop the operations. You work in teams around specific students and independently when required. We work to ensure that every student feels safe and comfortable in a learning environment. We want to give them the opportunity to develop based on their conditions and feel confidence in their own abilities.

We are looking for someone who is an educated social pedagogue, social worker, or has equivalent education.

As a social pedagogue, you are part of the students' everyday life. You are out among the students and sense the situation both individually and in groups. Therefore, it is important that:

• You find it easy to create contacts and are a good relationship builder with parents, students, and staff.
• You are calm and constructive in difficult or stressful situations.
• You see that good cooperation with both students, guardians, and colleagues is the solution.
• You share the values and guidelines of Internationella Engelska Skolan and are a role model for your surroundings.
• You have experience working with students with NPF and similar challenges.
• You have good knowledge of the Education Act and other governing documents.
• You have experience organizing and driving work with support and consequence steps.
• You have experience investigating incidents and following up with legal documentation and solution-focused action plans.
• You are a good listener and relationship builder with parents, students, and staff.
• You are structured and organized, as well as a driven and responsible team player.
• You work inclusively and have good collaborative skills towards teachers and other staff.
